School of Intelligent Manufacturing and Control Engineering adheres to the schooling orientation of training talents with applied technology, takes cultivating highly skilled, applied and innovative intelligent manufacturing specialists needed for Shanghai's economic construction as the purpose of schooling, and builds an intelligent manufacturing professional group that adapts to the market demand, buttresses the development of the industry, and has distinctive programs to cultivate engineering and technical talents in line with the needs of the field of intelligent manufacturing. It aims to cultivate engineering talents in line with the needs of the intelligent manufacturing field.
The college consists of Mechanical Engineering Department, Mechatronics Department, Intelligent Manufacturing Engineering Department, Automation Department, Engineering Fundamental Teaching and Research Office, Experiment Center, Intelligent Manufacturing Engineering Factory, Administrative Office and Student Work Office. There are 149 faculty members, including 100 full-time teachers, 10 teachers with senior titles, 43 teachers with deputy senior titles, 46 graduate instructors, and 78 teachers with doctoral degrees. The college currently has a Master's degree programs in Mechanical Engineering, 9 bachelor's degree programs and 5 higher vocational programs, with 198 graduate students, 3,053 undergraduates, 30 of which are foreign-qualified students, and 591 specialists.
